SUSSEX TV: Mahela's first interview as a Sussex Sharks player

Mahela Jayawardene acquaints himself with the Long Room at Hove

Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardene has arrived at The County Ground ahead of the NatWest T20 Blast tournament, and the second highest run scorer in international T20 history is chuffed to be at Hove.

The 37 year-old, who spoke to the media this morning at Hove, is training ahead of the NatWest T20 Blast campaign, and is available for the first seven matches of the tournament.

The Sharks open their campaign next Friday evening when they face Kent Spitfires at Canterbury before the eagerly-anticipated clash at Hove, when Gloucestershire are the first visitors to BN3 for the shortest format of the game this season.

You can hear the thoughts of Jayawardene above as he spoke to the Sussex TV YouTube Channel.
