WINTER: Jackson effort can't help Under-19's to victory
20-Feb-2013
Sussex starlet Callum Jackson hit 62 for England Under-19’s yesterday in their Youth ODI with South Africa, but he couldn’t help them to victory, as they were beaten by six wickets under the D/L method.
Jackson, who also took two catches keeping wicket, put on 133 with Kishen Velani as England reached 205 for 8 from their 49 overs. Sussex counterpart Harry Finch could only make 7 whilst most of the rest of the line-up also failed to make double-figures at the Stellenbosch University Ground.
The hosts reached their revised target of 157 runs from 39 overs to take a 4-0 lead in the series ahead of the final ODI in Cape Town tomorrow.
