WINTER WATCH: Mills turns up the Heat for stint with Brisbane

Sussex’s pace ace Tymal Mills has been snapped up by Brisbane Heat for a short stint in the Australian Big Bash League.

Mills, who has recently finished playing in the McDonald’s Super Smash in New Zealand for Auckland Aces, will play two games for the Heat before heading to India, where he is part of the England T20 squad.

The left-arm seamer is an injury replacement for West Indian leg-spinner Samuel Badree, and will play in the matches against the Scorchers next week and the Melbourne Stars at the MCG on Tuesday 17th January, where he is likely to face Sussex skipper Luke Wright.

Elsewhere in the Big Bash, Sussex’s Chris Jordan claimed fine figures of 3 for 24 on Friday as his Adelaide Strikers side restricted Hobart Hurricanes to 161 for 8.
