WINTER WATCH: Plenty of Sussex interest in ICC World Cricket League

There has been plenty of Sussex interest in the ICC World Cricket League Division Four this week, which is taking place in Los Angeles.

Delray Rawlins (pictured) joined up with the Bermuda squad after his commitments with the England Young Lions at Loughborough, and immediately helped them to their first win of the tournament, beating Denmark, who could include former Sussex paceman Amjad Khan amongst their ranks, by 38 runs.

Rawlins will also be in action on Wednesday when they take on Jersey, who also secured their first victory of the campaign on Tuesday with a thrilling three-wicket win over Italy, aided by Academy prospect Jonty Jenner. Batting at four, Jenner hit 65 from 77 balls as the islanders kept their slim tournament hopes alive.

Bermuda face Italy on Friday with Jersey playing the USA before the final, and 3rd/5th place play-offs take place on Saturday.

It was another successful week down under for Danny Briggs, who followed up his three wickets on debut for Marcellin Old Collegians CC in Melbourne with figures of 3 for 9 as they defeated Canterbury comfortably in a Wright Shield match.

Jonty Jenner scored a half-century for Jersey on Tuesday
