Sussex Cricket’s Head of Recreational Cricket, Andy Hobbs, is also a Trustee of a Cricket Development and Aids Awareness Charity that operates in Africa.
The charity sends coaches and kit to some of the poorest places in Africa to help train local people as coaches and put a smile on children’s faces through cricket. Throughout this work HIV / Aids awareness messages are integrated meaning they are delivered in a positive and meaningful environment. The charity is embarking on 3 more projects this Autumn to Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda / Botswana.
