Murray Goodwin wins Emirates sponsored Player of the Month for August

SCCC is today pleased to announce that the Emirates sponsored Player of the Month award for August, as voted by the fans of Sussex County Cricket Club, goes to Murray Goodwin.
It’s been a difficult month for the Club, with Mushtaq Ahmed’s retirement from Sussex Cricket, but Murray has stood strong and had a very productive August with the bat.
In Championship Cricket in August, Murray has scored 253 runs in four knocks at an average of 84.3 – including a match saving 101 not out against Nottinghamshire at Hove.
Murray has scored 1165 first class runs this year at an average of 58.25 and has been the stand-out performer with the bat.
This month’s award will be presented at the NatWest Pro40 encounter with Middlesex Crusaders at The County Ground, Hove on Thursday 11th September.
