Hodd stars on Day One at Horsham
Andrew Hodd hit 157 for the Sussex Second Eleven as they took control against Gloucestershire on Day One of their Second Eleven Championship clash at Horsham.

The hosts won the toss and after electing to bat, wicketkeeper Hodd shared a stand of 149 with Matt Machan (66) for the third-wicket. Hodd hit 19 fours and two sixes from his 207 ball knock, whilst Machan’s score was compiled from only 85 balls, which included 11 boundaries.
James Anyon (37) and Will Beer (36) also chipped in before Sussex were dismissed for 354, as Gloucestershire’s left-arm spinner Ed Young claimed figures of 5 for 49. The visitors will resume this morning on 99 for 1, Michael O’Shea unbeaten on 46.
