Horsham Girls Win SCB under 11 Festival
It was the second year the Sussex Cricket Board have run the under 11 girls’ club festival. This year it was held at Steyning Cricket Club where seven clubs were involved, Ansty, Bells Yew Green A & B side, Crawley, Eastings (Hastings & Eastbourne joined together), Findon and Horsham.
The teams were put into two leagues, so each team would play three matches in their rounds. The semi finals involved Horsham versus Ansty and Bells Yew Green A team versus Findon.
Bells Yew Green A team and Horsham were eventual winners of the semi final a met each other in the final after playing each other before in the rounds.
Horsham (pictured below) were crowned winners after beating Bells Yew Green in a great final, showing the standard of cricket being played in Sussex is increasing year on year at this age group.
