Second XI have it all to play for at The Rose Bowl

Sussex lead by 152 with 9 wickets remaining

It’s all to play for on the third day in the Second XI Championship match at The Rose Bowl between Sussex and Hampshire.

Hampshire declared their first innings on 303 for 7, still 98 behind. Liam Dawson made 52 and Tom Burrows scored 82 for the home side, with the wickets being shared around the bowlers.

Rory Hamilton-Brown took 2 for 23 and Lewis Hatchett took 2 for 60.

So Sussex started their second innings 98 runs ahead and closed up on 54 for 1 – losing Mike Thornely for 22 on the stroke of close. Joe Gatting is 26 not out.

It’s all to play for on the third and final day at The Rose Bowl.
