Sharks mow down calories
Sussex take up the 'WeightWatchers Get Active Challenge'
The Sussex Sharks took up the ‘Weightwatchers Get Active Challenge’ at The County Ground, Hove this week when Ollie Rayner, Rageb Aga and Rory Hamilton-Brown each got behind a lawnmower on a rather large lawn!
According to scientists and the experts at Weightwatchers, washing the car burns 95 calories, jogging with a friend 250 and mowing the lawn 180.
Sussex work very hard to promote a healthier lifestyle to all their fans and are delighted that Weightwatchers will sponsor their Twenty20 Cup game with Surrey on June 22.
The Sharks are hoping to attract a bumper crowd and have launched a special ticket offer to ensure the lads are cheered on to victory against superstar ballroom dancer and legendary cricketer Mark Ramprakash and his Surrey team.
Any fan who buys a ticket for the game in advance can bring a friend along for just £5!
Advance bookings must be made before 12noon on Monday 22 June and all £5 tickets can be bought and collected on entry to the ground – but people should arrive early to ensure availability and enjoy the pre match entertainment over a drink in the sunshine. The game starts at 7.00pm.
Rory Hamilton-Brown, said: “Enjoying a healthy lifestyle isn’t just something for professional sports people. Maintaining a good diet, taking regular exercise and staying in shape is for everyone. At Sussex we work very hard at our fitness and I’m sure that will show when we take on Surrey next week.”
