Sussex Women Set to Play Kent at Middleton Cricket Club
The Sussex Women’s team have their fifth County Championship match on Sunday 9th August against Kent at Middleton Cricket Club.
The match was due to be played at Brighton College but it has had to be moved to Middleton Cricket Club for an 11am start.
The match on Sunday is a crucial game for the Women as both Sussex and Kent are top of the County Championship with the same number of points after both teams have won their first four matches. Sussex are top of the table with Kent second due to Sussex having a better net run rate.
Sussex Women’s Manager Terry Burton Said, “This without doubt will be one of our most difficult games of the season, as Kent are our closest rivals. However I am delighted with the way team has played this season and the manor of which we have won all of our four games, and I am confident this can continue.”
Over the last six years the championship has been very much between Sussex and Kent, with Sussex winning four out of the six and Kent winning two.
Entry is free to Middleton Cricket Club and it would be great to see as many supporters there as possible to support the Women in this vital match.
