Sussex's wait for a Championship win at Hove goes on after they lost by 35 runs to Somerset today.
Chasing a victory target of 349, they were bowled out for 313 just after 2pm today.
Sussex looked capable of winning when Chris Nash and nightwatchman Jason Lewry added 60 runs for the fifth wicket this morning.
Lewry made 25, only his fifth score of more than 20 in the last four years.
But his dismissal sparked a collapse which saw five wickets fall for 52 runs including Nash, who made 134 from214 balls with 22 fours before he was caught behind.
No one else got beyond 30 but Sussex were given hope by a last-wicket stand of 43 between Payush Chawla and Robin Martin-Jenkins.
But Martin-Jenkins slashed wastefully to gully for 27 to give Charl Willoughby his fourth wicket and Sussex were left to reflect on a match that got away.
