Sussex to be televised ten times in 2010

Sussex CCC have initially been booked in for ten Sky television appearances in 2010, with more on the cards should Sussex progress in the one-day competitions.

The Sharks will have five away games and five home games aired live on Sky TV, including the opening game of the ECB Pro40 League where they take on Worcestershire Royals on Sunday 25th April, and the opening game of the 2010 Friends Provident Twenty20 Cup where the Sharks open their defence of the 2009 title against the county they defeated in the Final at Edgbaston in August, Somerset. This match takes place on 1 June at The County Ground, Hove starting at 7.10pm.

Preparations for the new season are now underway with a number of the players at a Sussex Academy in Port Elizabeth for 4 weeks. The Sussex season starts away to Glamorgan in the LV= County Championship from Friday 9 to Monday 12 April, with the first match at Hove against local rivals Surrey from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 April.

In addition, Sussex are delighted to be hosting a Womens Twenty20 International on the 2nd July when England all-conquering women take on their New Zealand counterparts. This game, also live on Sky, starts at 2.10pm and forms part of a thrilling double header with the Sharks taking on the Panthers that evening.
