Women return to County Championship scene

After two months break from County Cricket due to England International and club fixtures, the Sussex Women’s side have a busy few months ahead of them as they look to retain the County Championship.

On Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th August, Sussex will take part in the first ever Twenty20 County Cup, held at Reading Cricket Club.
This is a new competition and will see many of the England World Cup Twenty20 winners taking part, including Sussex stars, Caroline Atkins, Holly Colvin, Laura Marsh and Sarah Taylor.

There are eight divisions with Counties playing all over the Country. Sussex are in division one and will face Berkshire, Kent and Surrey over the two days.

Wednesday 29th August
11:00 – Sussex v Kent
11:00 – Berkshire v Surrey
16:00 – Sussex v Berkshire
16:00 – Kent v Surrey

Thursday 30th August
10:30 – Surrey v Sussex
10:30 – Berkshire v Kent
