Hove ground
This season SCCC will be playing from 4 local grounds: Hove, Arundel, Horsham and Hastings. The following map and directions are intended to help you make it to the ground quickly and easily.
To plan your journey by public transport follow Traveline, which can plan your entire journey or go through to the National Rail Planner or Stagecoach buses.
Listed below are directions by car, details on parking and directions by rail. Click on the following links for a map of club amenities or, details of disabled facilities.
Direction by car
From the M23/A23
Approach the A27 following the signs for A27 Worthing – Lewes – Newhaven stay in left hand lane signed Worthing A27 take this slip road and stay in left hand lane of the A27 . Continue west - signed A27 Worthing/Hove and exit at the first slip road singed A2038 Hove/Devils Dyke. At the roundabout at the end of the slip road follow the brown tourist information signs to ‘County Cricket Ground’. Continue to follow these signs for the remainder of your journey.
From the A27 West
Take the slip road signed A 2038 Hove/Devils Dyke. At the mini roundabout at the end of the slip road turn right and continue over the A27 and at the large roundabout follow the brown tourist information signs to ‘County Cricket Ground’ Continue to follow these signs for the remainder of your journey.
From the A27 East
After going over the A23 flyover following the sign A27 Worthing/Hove. Take the first slip road singed A2038 Hove/Devils Dyke. At the roundabout at the end of the slip road follow the brown tourist information signs to ‘County Cricket Ground’. Continue to follow these signs for the remainder of your journey.
From Worthing/Shoreham on the A259
Follow the brown tourist information signs on the A259 to ‘Sussex County Cricket Ground’ and then at the A259/Grand Avenue junction. Continue to follow these signs for the remainder of your journey.
From the A259 East
Follow the brown tourist information signs to ‘Sussex County Cricket Ground’ the first being just east of the aquarium roundabout in Brighton and then on the A259/Grand Avenue junction. Continue to follow these signs for the remainder of your journey.
Parking
Within the County Ground
Only Sussex Members and those with Disabled Parking permits may park within the Ground and both are on a strictly first come, first served basis as space is very limited. There is a daily fee of £6. Please note there is no parking on Twenty20 matches.
On-street Parking
The roads adjacent to the Club are metered and can range from £2 for 2 hours to £2 to ten hours (nearer Hove station). Please be aware that on-street parking can be scarce and cars must be parked legally as the traffic wardens in this area are very strict.
Norton Road Car Park (Town Hall)
At the last set of traffic lights before the Ground (the yellow AA sign points left for SCCC) there is a sign indicating the Norton Road NCP. You should be in the right lane filter for this. Turn right at the lights and then take the second left. The carpark is at the bottom on the right-hand side.
Both Arundel and Horsham have parking for both Members and the general public upon payment of a daily fee.
By rail
To Hove Station
Hove Railway Station is approximately 10 minutes walk from the County Ground. Walk down Goldstone Villas Road, turn left and walk straight on, across traffic lights (All Saints Church on corner), past The Sussex Cricketer public house where the entrance is next on the left.
