Chair - Sussex Cricket

Sussex is one of the most historic and respected names in English cricket. Founded in 1839, it carries the distinction of being the oldest county cricket club in the world. Across nearly two centuries, Sussex has produced outstanding cricketers, memorable victories, and moments that have shaped the game both domestically and internationally.

In recent years Sussex Cricket has faced several challenges, but they are determined to strengthen their foundations financially, culturally, and operationally while ensuring that Sussex Cricket continues to be defined by excellence, integrity, and opportunity.

At the same time, there is genuine optimism. Sussex Cricket possesses enormous potential: a proud membership base, a thriving community presence, an internationally recognised pathway for developing young talent, and one of the most distinctive and loved cricket grounds in the country.

The successful candidate will help guide the Board and executive team through the next chapter of the organisation’s development strengthening governance, supporting long-term financial performance, creating sustainability through adopting a growth mindset and championing the values that make Sussex special.

Most importantly, they will embrace and champion the full reach of our impact across the county whilst helping create an environment in which players, staff, and community can flourish.

Community Cricket Coach - Part Time - 20hrs/week

An exciting new opportunity has arisen in the Sussex Cricket Foundation (SCF). We are looking for Community Cricket Coaches in Sussex to continue our mission of actively changing lives through the power of cricket.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cricket-based sessions in a variety of locations across Sussex to schools, clubs and communities under the guidance of a Territory Manager.

Sussex Cricket is committed to safeguarding by protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults. As such, all relevant posts are subject to a vetting process, which requires up-to-date DBS checks and the provision of two work-related references.
