Our Super 1s clubs provide access for young people with additional needs to regular cricket. They give participants the chance to compete against peers as well as opportunities to build friendships and develop independent life skills.
With the support of leading disability sports charity, Lord’s Taverners, we run clubs in several Sussex locations throughout the calendar year. The clubs are free to participants and are designed to help them increase their physical activity through fun, social interaction with their peers. The sessions are delivered by qualified coaches and are suited to all abilities with the ages of participants typically ranging from 12 – 25.
We organise Super 1s competitions throughout the year, when we bring the clubs together to play matches in a safe, informal and friendly environment. We also work with a range of partners to provide workshops to help our Super 1s participants develop the skills and knowledge for independent living.
